Elements of Nature- Handbound Book

Hello Friends ,

Remya here. Today I have a handmade mixed media nature journal to share with you. Am sure many of you here love Books, Diaries, Planners in all forms. Why not make one since we all are such good crafter's. Here is a very quick way to make a vibrant and handy book.

Steps taken :

I had quite a few colored copier paper which I folded  into half. Next I took 2 handmade paper folded them into half too. Itsy bitsy has a good variety of hand made paper. Try it out , you would love them. Tucked the copier paper into the folded handmade paper to make it a bundle.

Next for the cover. I used Ivory board paper from Itsy . Its 230 gsm paper and perfect as a cover page Medical tape was stuck randomly on the paper. Applied a light gesso over the entire paper. Once dried applied MontMarte texture paste through the Script stencil( Its one of my favorites) . Itsy Bitsy has a wide range of stencils. They are of good quality and worth investing for.

Once that was dried up too , I sprayed color splash spray - Lemon Zing and Hot Pink . The outcome was something I loved a lot.

Next gave a bit of distress on the edges using brown tinge from the Itsy Bitsy Pigment pad.

Stamped " Memories to remember " from the stamp set - Live Laugh Love.

Fussy cut a bird and twigs from the DCWV paper stack. The paper collection at Itsy Bitsy is humongous. Its drives everyone crazy, including me.

Arranged the fussy cuts on the cover. Once the cover was completed ,started to stitch the paper bundles on to the cover.

The simple and handy notebook is ready ! Sharing a few pictures of the book.

Materials :
Ivory Board
Script Stencil
Specialty Paper

Hope you enjoyed it.
