A Wedding Card with Beads and Flowers

ItsyBitsy is so full of varied craft supplies that it's almost irresistible to not include diverse elements in a paper crafting project. Last time I was browsing the store, I cam across these terracotta beads which have been at the store for quite a while. I thought why not use them in a card project and here is what I created.

I have designed the card to look like a wedding invitation card. The colours are all rich and festive in the traditional 'shaadi' colours. I layered some ochre card stock over red card stock and added a final layer of white which was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. I added a border of gold pearls around the white and scattered some more gold pearls on the white embossed area. This instantly made the card look more grand and lavish.

Those of you who know my work will be familiar with my bows and I went to town on this one. After perfectly constructing it I added some red roses made using the ItsyBitsy Swirly Rose Die to bring out the knot. Then I added the terracotta beads along with some gold and red wooden beads to a jewellery headpin and dangled these from the roses.

I have to say I was delighted with the end result! So grand, so festive and so elegant! Hope you liked it too folks!! See you soon!
