DIY Doll House Tutorial With Miniatures : 

Hello! Angela here. I am back with yet another tutorial on how to make a really pretty dollhouse with miniatures from Itsybitsy. Itsybitsy has a huge collection of miniatures and they are perfect for school projects and of course dollhouses. A list of all supplies used in this project are mentioned at the end with link to itsybitsy online store so that its easy for you to place your orders.

Christmas Bell

Hi Folks!! Welcome to another tutorial, which is based on CRAFTY COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS. This December let us celebrate the magical season with Christmas crafts, this time we shall make a super-cute bell.

Material required:

Paper cup

Paint– red

Brush

Bells

Paper - Any

White Thread

Embellishments

Ribbon

Itsy Bitsy glue

Scissor

Method:

Step 1 - Take a paper cup & paint it red with Itsy Bitsy brush & color

Step 2 – Cut a paper into round shape and color it red (size to match the bottom of the cup)

Step 3 – Glue the circular paper to the cup with Itsy Bitsy glue

Step 4 – Thread 3 bells to the woollen yarn & tie a knot 

Step 5 – Make a small hole at the centre of the cup, insert the woollen yarn through the hole and tie a knot again

Step 6 - Stick the embellishments on the cup with Itsy Bitsy glue

Step 7 – Make a ribbon bow

Step 8 – Glue the bow on top of the cup

Step 9 - Glue a star on the ribbon

The Christmas bell is ready. Use this to decorate your Christmas tree or just hang it to the door as décor during Christmas. Let us know what you think of it!! J

Cupcake Christmas Tree

Hi Folks! Hope you had a great day. Here's something to do for the coming Christmas holidays. Enjoy and have fun making this cute Christmas tree made with cupcake liners as part of "CRAFTY COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS".

Materials required:

Cupcake liners

Itsy Bitsy glue

Embellishment

Paper

Color

Brush

Method :

Step 1 – Fold a cupcake liner in triangular shape

Step 2 – Use Itsy Bitsy glue on top of another cupcake liner (which also has to be folded in triangular shape)

Step 3 – Glue the first cupcake liner over the second

Step 4 – Make layers of 4 cupcake liners in this way

Step 5 – Take a small portion of a paper & color it green

Step 6 – Fold & glue the paper on the bottom of the last cupcake liner (like a stem)

Step 7 – Glue a star embellishment on top of the Christmas tree

The cute Christmas tree is very easy to make & becomes a great display in your Christmas craft collection. Make a variety of such trees in your favourite shades. Let us know what you thought of it. J

The Busy Hive Magnet

Hi Folks, Welcome to another Itsy Bitsy Craft Tutorial. Today we are going to make this super cute beehive magnet with little busy bees! A great weekend activity or a perfect gift J

Supplies:

1. Yellow Cardstock (A4 or 12”x12”) – 1 sheet
2. Orange Craft Foam
3. Yellow Pompoms (8-12mm) – 3 pcs
4. Black Chenille sticks – 2 pcs
5. White Pollen/Stamen- 6 pcs
6. Tempera Paint – Black
7. Silicone Glue or Craft Glue
8. Google Eyes - 1Pair
9. Magnet

Here’s How:

Cut a piece of cardstock – 13.5cm X 10.5cm. Refer to the diagram below. Score on the dotted lines and then cut on the solid lines. You will have 9 paper strips – each measuring 1.5cmX10.5cm, scored at every 1.5cm. (Scoring is important to fold the hexagons later.)

 

Make hexagons from the strips by gluing the ends as shown. Make more hexagons if you want a bigger hive.

Glue the hexagons together and make the hive. You can make some cells open or make it completely symmetric.

Apply glue to the edges and stick it to the felt piece.

Trim the excess felt. You hive is ready

To make the bees, cut a 2- 3” piece of chenille stem and coil it. Stick the pompom on one side of the 

coil.

Paint the pollen black, trim them to size and glue them to make the antennae. Stick the google eyes, and a small piece of cord for the mouth.

Make as many bees as you like and house them in your hive J. Just apply a little glue so they do not fall off. 

Stick the magnet at the back and proudly display your awesome creation!!

Flip Flop Octopus

Good Morning Everyone!! Welcome to another Itsy Bitsy Tutorial! Another fun-filled tutorial for kids and anyone young at heart. Kids will just fall in love this cute little octopus. With eight swinging arms, big google eyes and a such a friendly smile, what's not to love?

It’s very easy to make and a perfect craft to do with young kids. Not only will the kids enjoy making it; once made, it has some serious potential to become a favourite toy! 

So let’s get started. And you only need following 4 supplies!

1. Yarn (we have used two colours but you can use more or less or even make a multicoloured octopus!)
2. Red Yarn for mouth
3. A 2” thermocol ball (take a bigger ball for bigger octopus and accordingly take more yarn)
4. A pair of google eyes
5. Craft Glue

Method:

Apply glue on the thermocole ball and wrap the yarn all over the ball.

Make sure that the ball is fully covered and trim the yarn.

Take a few lengths of yarn and wrap it around the ball as shown.

Tie at the bottom with a piece of yarn.

Divide the bunch of yarns in 8 bunches of roughly equal thickness. Braid all the 8 bunches to make 8 arms 

Tie off the braids with yarn of another colour.

Glue the eyes and the piece of red yarn for the mouth.

You flip flop Octopus is ready!!

You can also try out other variations, other creatures or even raggedy style dolls using the same technique. Try using fuzzy yarns or ruffle yarns for a more fuzzy and fun look.

 I'm back with a very popular craft at home.. My daughter loves robots and thinks all her problems (imaginary!!) would disappear if she had a special robot who could do all her work for her. So we decided to make one for ourselves.

We gathered our supplies -
Pom poms
Bow stickers
silver pipe cleaners
Thermocol Craft Ball
Stickers
Foam dots
Googly Eyes
Craft stick
Glue gun
An old box for the body

We used an old Home lights match box and covered it with silver tape. You can use colour, shiny papers or even glitter papers. 

we then covered the ball to form the head & stuck it onto the body using glue gun. Googly eyes for the eyes and the robot was slowly coming to life. For legs we used a TP roll .. 

We added the foam dots & red pearl dots for buttons. Pipecleaners were twisted and stuck using glue gun. We then inserted half a craft stick within these pipe cleaners to form hands. 

Pom poms , a nice smile , antennae and cute bows later, our dotty robot was ready..
