DIY with chalkpaints

Hello dear crafters,

Roshini here, back again this month to inspire with the amazing chalk paints from Itsy Bitsy.
I have altered mason jars using chalk paints and used burlap lace and cord to further enhance their beauty....

Here are the steps:

1. Coat the jar with Mont Marte white gesso
2. Then start painting with Chalk paint -  I used Lagoon Breeze.
3. Color the burlap cord and lid with Mont Marte metallic color.
4. Embellish the burlap flower and some sequins using silicon glue.

Here is the final look of the jar....We often admire the DIY on the internet but we rarely give it a try; isn't it easy and hassle-free to makeover any item with chalk paints??

I couldn't resist myself  from using these chalk paints, so altered one more jar...However, this time I used a stencil on the burlap ribbon using the same metallic paint, which I had used  for coloring the lid of the mason jar...

Wrap the stenciled burlap ribbon around the jar, tie some burlap cord around it and stick a flower in the center...

Finally here are my two pretty jars....

NO doubt that Chalk paints are amazing even for the decoupage projects...The finish and these chalk paints give to the decoupage are simply superb. Have a look here at one of my decoupage projects as well.
