Bottlecap Reindeer

Hi Folks! Here's something to do during the Christmas holidays. We are going to make a Bottle cap Reindeer, which is easy to make & can be a fun activity during Christmas. This is part of CRAFTY COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

Materials Required:

Bottle cap

Google eyes

Itsy Bitsy glue

Floral tape

Wire

2mm Quilling strips – red

Ribbon

Scissor

Method :

Step 1 – Take a bottle cap and stick 2 google eyes with the help of Itsy Bitsy Silicon glue

Step 2 – Make a round coil using 2mm quilling strips

Step 3 - Stick the mouth to the bottle cap

Step 4 – Take 3 wires and cut them to 2 inches in length. Twist them together till 1.5 inches and spread the ends. Wrap brown colour tape around the wires. Repeat the same & make another similar strand

Step 5 – Stick the strands on the back of the cap with Itsy Bitsy glue

Step 6 – Stick a ribbon on top of the bottle cap to hang it

The Bottlecap Reindeer is ready. This can be a great decoration on the eve of Christmas. You can make plenty of these and decorate your room. You can hang it on the Christmas tree or you could stick a magnet & make it a Fridge Magnet.  Let us know what you thought of this tutorial J

Christmas Bell

Hi Folks!! Welcome to another tutorial, which is based on CRAFTY COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS. This December let us celebrate the magical season with Christmas crafts, this time we shall make a super-cute bell.

Material required:

Paper cup

Paint– red

Brush

Bells

Paper - Any

White Thread

Embellishments

Ribbon

Itsy Bitsy glue

Scissor

Method:

Step 1 - Take a paper cup & paint it red with Itsy Bitsy brush & color

Step 2 – Cut a paper into round shape and color it red (size to match the bottom of the cup)

Step 3 – Glue the circular paper to the cup with Itsy Bitsy glue

Step 4 – Thread 3 bells to the woollen yarn & tie a knot 

Step 5 – Make a small hole at the centre of the cup, insert the woollen yarn through the hole and tie a knot again

Step 6 - Stick the embellishments on the cup with Itsy Bitsy glue

Step 7 – Make a ribbon bow

Step 8 – Glue the bow on top of the cup

Step 9 - Glue a star on the ribbon

The Christmas bell is ready. Use this to decorate your Christmas tree or just hang it to the door as décor during Christmas. Let us know what you think of it!! J

A Trendy Bracelet

Hi Folks! Make this trendy friendship bracelet for your best friend! It's easy to make and while making it you also learn a basics of simple jewellery making. Kids as well as grown ups both will love it. You can get a ready DIY kit to make this bracelet or use individual supplies as per your convenience. 

Here is a list of supplies you will need:

Beads of your choice

6mm Satin Ribbon

Jewellery cord 

1.5mm Ribbon

Chain

Jump rings

Cord ends

Silicon glue

Method:

Measure your wrist and cut the required length of cotton cord.

Thread the cotton cord with the beads leaving about 1cm on both ends

Take three 1.5mm ribbon lenths, about 5-6 inches longer than the required length of the bracelet.

Hold them together and tie a knot as shown.

Braid the three strands together like a simple plait.

Tie a knot at the other end of the braid

Tip: Measure the bracelet before gluing the other end

Cut the 6mm ribbon as per the length required. Hold the ends of the ribbon, braid and the beaded cord together, Apply silicon glue to the ends and insert them into the provided cord end.

Glue the cord ends similarly on the other end and let the glue set for about 10-15 minutes.

Join the chain to the cords ends on both the ends using the jump rings.

Attach the lobster clasp to one of the jump rings.

And your cool and trendy bracelet is done!

TGIF with Pooja – Gift for you card!

Hello friends! I hope that you all had a lovely week! Friday is here already and September is still looking bright for us out here which is so good to see since its almost time for winter now.

Anyway I have another card for you today. 

This one is really special to me!

I kind of spent a whole evening making this simple looking card happen but it was totally worth the effort.

I did this simple looking but thoughtful placement to show off all the papers I used.

My base is a white cardstock on which I have used some pink design paper which is quite dull, so that it doesn’t take away from my stamped image.

That is my Little darlings stamped image (Little Darlings Sweet Daisies.).

I coloured it using alcohol markers.

It did take me some time to work on the hair since its so complex but its worth it.

I have co-ordinated my pattern paper to match the colouring on my stamp’s dress.

This keeps my whole card visually bonded.

The lavender flower you see here is from Petite daises soft touch collection.

The other two flowers are handmade and I covered all the flowers with some texture paste to give it a lovely rough look.

These butterflies are stamped and fussy cut.

I then coloured with the same shades of lilac and purple to coordinate with the whole card.

And that’s how the card looks when laid flat.

I have also used some ribbons and a spellbinders die underneath the stamped image.

Also I added some hat pins on the bow with some pearls underneath.
